As announced a few weeks ago, the Health-Trends team has now published the first SWISS DIGITAL HEALTH VC Report. This report provides an overview of digital health venture funding with figures on the recent global development of funding and a special focus on the Swiss market. The report presents a detailed view of 89 national and international VC organizations that have invested in Swiss digital health startups.
Funding of digital health companies has been continuously growing and an increasing number of venture funds are entering the space. In 2020, private and public market financing for digital health companies increased tremendously propelled by the technology boom during the COVID-19 pandemic. This has motivated Health-Trends to intensify the research activities in this field. As announced in a previous blog post, based on its startup database, Health-Trends has now created an overview of a total of 89 VC organizations that have recently invested in at least one Swiss digital health startup (see blog post).
The extensive research work since the publication of this blog post in March 2021 has also led to the expansion and detailing of the Health-Trends database on Swiss digital health startups. Thus, at least 182 startups are now mapped on our SWISS DIGITAL HEALTH MAP (an increase of 12 startups compared to the time of publication of the blog post). In addition, the SWISS DIGITAL HEALTH VC Map has been reduced by one VC organization, as this VC has discontinued its investment activities in the digital health sector. The map is divided into the following sections:
- Early Stage including the sub-phases pre-seed and seed investments as well as Series A investments
- Late Stage including Series B and Series C investments and
- Comprehensive Stage, which contains all VCs that could not be clearly assigned to a specific phase.
All national and international VC organizations that have invested in at least one of the digital health startups on the SWISS DIGITAL HEALTH MAP were considered for the VC map. We have classified the VC firms on the basis of publicly available information. The updated VC map with a total of 89 VC organizations is available via this link or after clicking on the map picture below.
Detailed VC report is now available
In conjunction with the VC map, Health-Trends has now published a detailed VC report. Why you should go for the full report
Health-Trends also provides a short version free of charge without detailed information on the VC organizations. This short version can be obtained via this link. However, why should you still download the full version for CHF 99.00? The full report gives you an unprecedented detailed view (in tables and company profiles) of the total of 89 national and international VC organizations that have invested in Swiss digital health startups. You can get a lot of detailed information from these profiles, which do not exist in the market yet. The VC report is available at a cost price. With this contribution, you support the research activities of Health-Trends, which has been providing valuable information on the Swiss digital health startup landscape for many years.
