Innovation in the Swiss healthcare system thrives on partnerships. Health-Trends has therefore recently expanded its partner network and is now working with the digital health center Bülach and the DayOne platform. Learn more about the background of these partnerships in this blog post.
As an independent think tank for digital health in Switzerland, we work with selected partners in the swiss market environment. It is important to us that we work together in partnerships on innovative projects and topics and bring thought leaders for innovation and digitalization in the health sector to one table. And, connected to this, promote new exciting projects, events and activities, especially in the field of digital health. With the digital health center Bülach and the DayOne platform, we have found two new partners with whom we can jointly drive forward and implement this vision.
A strong partner in the digital health hotspot Zurich: digital health center Bülach
In 2019, the idea of the innovation center was launched by the Economic Development Department of the City of Bülach and has since been concretized by numerous interested partners and companies from the healthcare industry. The digital health center (dhc) brings together the players in the healthcare sector and offers a platform for developing digital solutions between startups, established ICT companies and companies from the healthcare sector. Companies in the dhc are committed to driving innovative solutions and generating additional value in the service of their customers and patients.
Health-Trends and the dhc work together on various topics. For example, we cooperate every six months in the development of the SWISS DIGITAL HEALTH STARTUP MAP, whereby special attention is paid in each case to ensuring that new startups based in the dhc also find their way onto the startup map of Health-Trends. In addition, dhc members have discounted access to Health-Trends research reports and other digital health insights. Health-Trends, in turn, benefits from dhc’s broad partner network and can use this channel to further expand its level of awareness and market presence. In the future, we will also generate joint content in targeted focus topics and further strengthen their joint presence in the market.

Expansion of the presence in the life sciences hotspot Basel: Community partnership with DayOne
DayOne is one of the leading digital health and medtech platforms in Switzerland with a community of 3000+ members. Part of their offering is the DayOne accelerator. Its competitive, equity-free initiatives connect startups to one of Europe’s strongest network of health innovation partners – including global players such as Novartis, Roche, Bayer and Takeda – as well as major European destinations in which to scale startups. DayOne leaders believe that the future of healthcare has to be sustainable and patient-centered. It can only be achieved if advances in new technologies, platforms, business models and mindsets go hand in hand with collaborative innovation at the level of a specific ecosystem, creating the openness and right environment for its implementation. This is where DayOne can and will make a difference as a dedicated healthcare innovation initiative amid one of the world’s leading life sciences clusters.
With DayOne, Health-Trends has found an exciting new partner in the field of healthcare innovation in Basel. In particular, Health-Trends and DayOne have agreed on a community partnership. The partnership includes closer cooperation in terms of joint communication activities, including the DayOne Demoday event. In addition, a closer cooperation in the startup area is planned, analogous to the partnership with the dhc. The aim is also to ensure that Switzerland-based startups in the DayOne accelerator find their way onto the SWISS DIGITAL HEALTH STARTUP MAP.

Strengthening digital health in Switzerland with partnerships
With these new partnerships, Health-Trends’ small but powerful partner network is growing in exciting new directions. However, Health-Trends is also still looking for innovative partners and plans to further expand its partner network in the field of digital health. Because without strong partners, digital health can only be advanced slowly in Switzerland. This is especially true when joint projects in the field of digital health are to be developed, promoted, and marketed. That is why we are specifically looking for reinforcement in the areas of events, media and communication, technology and innovation as well as public and regulatory affairs. If you are interested in working with us, please contact us at info@health-trends.ch to discuss possible collaboration options.
